Asphalt Milling Explained

asphalt

Asphalt milling is the process of grinding down a damage asphalt surface to eliminate any cracking, raveling or uneven slopes. The grinding process can remove as little as an inch or two from the surface or it can take it all the way down to the base. The sub-base is left intact and the area is resurfaced with fresh asphalt to restore the integrity of the pavement.

Benefits of asphalt milling include:

  • Affordability
  • Correct slope issues
  • Improve drainage
  • Address problem areas
  • No need for additional pavement removal
  • Quick and efficient

If your asphalt has cracks, crags, potholes or other imperfections it may be a great candidate for asphalt milling. Asphalt milling can be used for roads, parking lots, driveways and more.
